WHY NOT AUTOMATED?

Because this isn’t retail.

Every order is custom. Every story matters. Automation removes care—and that’s unacceptable here.

I know it sounds corny but I enjoy the interaction with my fellow veterans and, also, my self assigned mission is to help the families of my fellow Veterans remember the fallen so, I want to make sure that every product not only has my touch on it to some degree but that it is maximized for it’s effectiveness in accomplishing that mission.

In easence, ever order is a custom one, there are no one size fits all solutions here and, I doubt that there has ever been a single order I have taken that didn’t require an adjustment of some kind or a question answered.

A computer or AI system can’t provide that and while the customers more or less get what they want for the most part, the ones that don’t are the ones who’s legacy was not honoured and that is unacceptable to me.

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

Send Drew a message or email remembrance@veterancoins.ca. Include the product link or a screenshot, the quantity you want, and any engraving details. We’ll confirm availability, the total and payment arrangements.

CAN I HAVE A COIN PERSONALLY ENGRAVED?

Yes—selected coins can be engraved to make them your own. Send the wording you have in mind, such as a name, service number, unit, dates or dedication. What fits depends on the coin and its available engraving area.

CAN YOU ENGRAVE A PICTURE OR LOGO?[/size]

Maybe but mostely on bullet casing but not so much on coins as the space is small.

But, Send the image first so I can assess it. Clear artwork with good contrast gives us a better starting point than a blurry screenshot. Fine details may need simplifying to work at coin size.

And yes, this is where the FAQ dog starts looking nervous.

HOW MUCH DOES ENGRAVING COST?

Nothing for most cases as it comes with the price of the product but if you have something different going on ya, a little bit but nothing more than $20.

CAN I BUY SOMETHING IF I’M NOT A VETERAN?

Absolutely. These items also make meaningful gifts for serving members, veterans, family and friends. You don’t need a service number to give someone a keepsake that matters.

WHAT SHOULD I CHECK BEFORE SENDING MY ENGRAVING DETAILS?

Names, spelling, service numbers and dates. Please send the wording exactly as you want it engraved—especially anything with initials or unusual spelling. A small typo can become a very permanent souvenir.

I verify all orders and engraving with you prior to finalizing it.

HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?

Decals and pins, coins and other small stuff maybe 6 or 7 bucks but when we get into larger items or sets I ship via flat rate boxes which are $20 or $25.

I NEED IT FOR A PARTICULAR DATE. WHEN SHOULD I ORDER?

Contact me early and tell me the date you need it. Stock, engraving work and shipping all affect timing. Please check before ordering if it’s for a presentation, birthday, reunion or November 11.

WHAT’S IN THE DISCOUNT BIN?

Overstock, discontinued items, demonstration pieces and near-perfect items at reduced prices. Check each listing for the item’s condition and the reason it’s discounted.

The dog provides security. He does not negotiate.

WHY DO SOME ITEMS DIRECT ME TO ANOTHER ORGANIZATION?

Some listings showcase items I helped create for veteran organizations and fundraising projects. The listing explains who handles orders and where the money goes. Please use the contact given on that particular item.

CAN’T FIND YOUR ANSWER?

Contact Drew or email remembrance@veterancoins.ca.

Product questions are welcome. JFK and Hoffa remain outside the engraving department’s jurisdiction.

DO THE COINS COME WITH CHANGE?

They come with pride, memories and something worth keeping. Change is what you find between the cushions while deciding which one to buy.

HOW BIG ARE THE COINS?

Check the individual listing for dimensions. A close-up photograph can make a coin look like a manhole cover, so use the measurements rather than the size on your screen.

WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?

Materials and finishes vary by product but mostely zinc. Check the listing for those details, and ask if something isn’t specified. “Looks heavy” is an observation, not a technical specification.

DOES “ANTIQUE BRONZE” MEAN IT’S SOLID BRONZE?

Not necessarily. Antique bronze can describe the finish rather than the underlying metal. The same applies to antique gold and silver finishes—check the product’s material description.

DO THE SCRATCHES AND BULLET HOLES ON THE LICENCE PLATE DESIGNS GO RIGHT THROUGH?

They’re part of the printed artwork: a battered metal look without having to shoot up your vehicle. The plate itself isn’t thick cast bronze just because the design looks that way.

That said, for a few K Veteran Coins knows a 'Friend' who has a brother, who has a 'friend' who might know a 'friend' who has a 22 single shot squirill rifle that can come over under the cover of darkness and take a Dewalt drill and put some holes into your plate if you leave it on your garbage bin outside your property of course.

WILL A PIN MAKE ME LOOK TOUGHER?

Possibly. Results depend on the wearer. We cannot accept responsibility if your grandchildren continue calling you adorable.

That said, after wearing one of those pins on my Speedos the girls wouldn't leave me alone. Of course, that was after I followed the 'VETERAN COINS DIET PROGRAM' ($24.99') but serously, other than that, I was a rotten three day old veal cutlet in a trash can.

HOW DOES THE PIN FASTEN?

Check the listing for its fastening type. Some have a single clutch; others have two, and selected designs use locking clutches. If you’re buying for a particular jacket or vest, ask which fastening the pin has.

CAN I ORDER MORE THAN ONE ITEM AT A TIME?

Certainly. Send your complete wish list in one message so we can confirm quantities, availability and shipping together. Screenshots or product links help keep everyone looking at the same thing.

I SAW SOMETHING ON FACEBOOK BUT CAN’T FIND IT HERE. WHAT NOW?

Send me the Facebook post, a screenshot or a description. Older photographs may show discontinued items or previous editions, so I’ll check what’s available.

CAN I REQUEST SOMETHING THAT ISN’T IN THE CATALOGUE?

You can ask. Send a clear description, reference artwork, approximate quantity and any deadline. I’ll tell you whether it’s something I can help with and what information we need next.

CAN I HAVE A SHORT MESSAGE ENGRAVED INSTEAD OF MY SERVICE DETAILS?

Yes, where the item allows it. A dedication, nickname or a few meaningful words can make a keepsake personal. Keep it concise—a coin has its limits, even when your stories don’t.

CAN YOU ENGRAVE MY ENTIRE MILITARY CAREER ON ONE COIN?

We can discuss the highlights. The full version may require a book, a comfortable chair and several refreshments.

WHAT IF THERE’S A PROBLEM WITH MY ORDER?

Contact me with your order details and let me know whats going on. I want nothing more than to have a good name and have my guys - you guy, my customers, totally happy with my stuff.

If you have an issue dont keet it a secret.

HOW SHOULD I LOOK AFTER MY COIN OR PIN?

Start with a soft cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish. Ask about care for your particular item before using metal polish—what shines up one finish can strip another.

ARE THE ITEMS IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS THE SAME SIZE AS EACH OTHER?

Not necessarily. Product photographs may be cropped or enlarged to show detail. Compare the listed measurements when choosing between versions.

CAN I SHARE A PRODUCT WITH SOMEONE ELSE?

Please do. Copy the link to the individual product post so they can see its photographs, description and contact information together.

Much easier than “Drew has that thing with the thing on it—you know the one.”

CHOOSING A GIFT & MAKING IT PERSONAL

I WANT TO BUY A GIFT BUT DON’T KNOW WHICH ITEM TO CHOOSE.

Tell me who it’s for, their branch or unit if you know it, the occasion and your budget. Send any designs that caught your eye, and we can narrow it down.

WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW THEIR SERVICE NUMBER?

You can still make it personal. A name, unit, service dates or short dedication may be enough, depending on the item. Please don’t guess a service number—it’s a keepsake, not a lottery ticket.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD ENGRAVED DEDICATION?

Short and meaningful usually works best. “With pride and gratitude,” “Always remembered,” or a few words shared between you can say more than a paragraph squeezed into tiny lettering.

CAN I COMMEMORATE SOMEONE WHO HAS PASSED AWAY?

We can discuss a suitable item and inscription. Send the name, dates and wording you have in mind so I can check what will fit.

CAN YOU HELP WITH THE WORDING?

Yes. Tell me what you want the message to express, and we can work on something concise and personal. You’ll still need to check every name, number and date.

IS IT A GOOD RETIREMENT GIFT?

A service-related keepsake can mark the years, friendships and experiences behind a retirement. Choose something connected to the recipient rather than whichever item happens to be nearest the top of the page.
