ABOUT VETERAN COINS
After leaving the military, like many Veterans, I found myself missing the connection. The friendships. The sense of belonging. The pride.
I had shirts, medals, reunions, and Facebook groups - but I wanted something tangible. Something with weight. Something I could carry, hold, or place on a shelf and feel grounded by.
I remember my Airborne Coin that was my first challenge coin.
and the pride that filled me when I showed it to others and, as I came across more coins - both Regimental, Ship and Unit / Base orientated I realized what a true connection people find with having something like this to hold and feel – even carry around and show others.
Sure, I was proud that I jumped out of airplanes but to tell the truth, I was more proud to have been a member of the military period. As I got older and more affluent I wanted the shwag that came with being part of something greater than myself and so, began to collect rings hats and … coins.
As I encountered more coins - regimental, unit, ship, base - I realized how powerful they were. Not as collectibles, but as emotional anchors. Yet many felt mass-produced. Cookie-cutter. Lacking character.
So I designed my own.
What started as a personal project quickly became something bigger. Interest grew. Coins followed. Then pins. Then cases. Then displays. Mission creep took over.
Today, Veteran Coins is an ecosystem of meaningful, high-quality keepsakes built by a Veteran for Veterans.
A portion of every purchase supports the United Federation of Canadian Veterans and Lures for Vets—organizations that help where it matters, right now.
